instant pot sweet & savory green lentils

A touch of sugar and a dash of cayenne lend these lentils a perfect sweet and savory combination that will leave you feeling satisfied!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups green lentils
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 2 cloves garlicminced
  • dash of cayenne pepper (optional, I omitted because, babies!)
  • 2 cups water
  • 14-ounce tomato sauce
  • salt to taste

Reserve:

  • 3/4 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter or ghee (optional)

Instructions

  1. Put everything except the coconut milk & ghee into your Instant Pot. Manual, high pressure for 15 minutes. Natural release for about 10 mins.
  2. Stir in the coconut milk and butter. Taste and adjust seasonings.
